Keystone is Political Oil Spill

The Keystone Pipeline project that was supposed to bring oil from the Alberta, Canada to Texan refineries has become a sticky situation. Build or not? Obama has decided to sit on it.

Advocates argue job creation stable and safe source of oil. This will allow US to wean itself from Opec and be politically stronger in Middle East negations

Those against are worried of environmental impact. Extracting the oil is resource intensive and dirtier.

Agar of Newstalk1010 asks, how is shipping oil on massive tankers, then trucking it across the country any more environmentally friendly or any bit less risky?

Why do we care about Syria?

Where in the world is Syria?

If this map doesn’t tell you why Syria is still in the news, then read on. OIL. That and some typical political unrest, corruption a-la-Middle-East style. People missing, people being killed, suppressed, revolts. etc. Y’kno, the uje

UN secretary general, Ban Ki-Moon, passed a message onto the Pres. of Syria saying, “Today, I say again to President Assad of Syria: Stop the violence. Stop killing your people.”

Kim Jong fell Ill

The North Korean Dictator who goes by Dear Leader is now going by dearly departed. In his reign he was seen not wearing his pajama uniform only a handful of times, and was successful at suppressing his people thoroughly. Kim developed nuclear weapons that rustled a few feathers. There was a big hubabaloo about it a few years back, even rumors of war, when they were successfully testing their nukes. As it turned out, waiting out his death was a better idea. Hopefully, a lesson too.

He has been in power for 18yrs, and may be for another 6. Unless, the perturbed protesting people can put Putin out. Putin is beginning to respond to his critics, starting with a twitter war vs. Senator McCain

Who is Newt Gingrich?? (66 Words)

Political Profile: Newt Gingrich

How does someone named after a salamander become a potential presidential candidate?

Who’s Newt and what does he stand for? Idk? I fell asleep reading his webpage. I hope he’s more interesting than his page suggests. His webpage was so boring and non-interactive that I gave up reading it. I’m guessing he won’t be mobilizing the youth vote.

But doesn’t he just look so presidential?
